Flowers For You Valentine's Day Card

Yesterday we shared a post on our social media page (Facebook & Twitter) hinting of a new card we were working on using our 'Flowers For You Boy' digi stamp - which you can purchase here

So we are going to share with you a step buy step guide on how to make a rose printed, sparkly, romantic Valentine's Card.

Step 1: I started by cutting a heart shape out in craft card & stamping a rose print off the page in black - then started shading with pro-makers and pencils  /  The second image is the finished shaded heart. I added finishing touches to the heart by drawing stitch lines around the edge using a fine-liner & with a black pro-maker lightly went around the outside edge - so it would stand out a little from the background.

Step 2: Once you've chosen your card size make a frame - mine was 1.1 inches thick. Using the same rose stamp I used on the heart, I stamped the image repeatedly around the edge  /  once all the stamped roses are shaded in - then add lots of sparkle using a super fine red glitter for the roses and green for the leaves.

Step 3: Using the 'Flower For You Boy' digi stamp - shade him in with colours of your choice. I like to use a mix of pro-makers, fine liners and pencils.

Step 4: Next its time to make a background to go inside your frame - your piece of card will need to be slightly bigger than inner cut out of your frame. For mine I chose a decorative heart stamp & shaded the inner line with same red I used on the roses. Added finishing touch with fine liner stitch lines to match the heart.

And here it is, the final card...

All the different elements are at different levels - using double side foam tape - to get the card a 3 dimensional look. For finishing touches I added a double ribbon bow, a 'Be My Valentine' banner & some adhesive gems in the corners.
